We apply our values to the way we do business and strive to achieve the Stewardship Principles in cooperation with TfNSW.The Project Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the formation; documentation and estimation of work methodology pertain to the maintenance or construction of road infrastructure, structural, corridor, tunnel and ITS projects.
Additionally, the position will be called upon from time to time to oversee site maintenance activities and oversee new and upgrade works.
This role will focus on but not limited to the delivery of concrete and asphalt projects.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the development of plans laying out maintenance and current works methodology of specific maintenance works, tactical or special projectsAssist in the preparation of full and complete works estimatesUndertake the preparation of business tender documents and ensure they are undertaken in a way that protects company interestsReview, create and implement strategies that increase the efficiencies of maintenance and field works and project delivery.Be involved in the development and implementation of bid strategiesContribute toward the continuous improvement of all aspects of our business systems, policies and proceduresOversee site works involving maintenance and field works and project delivery.Overview all contract activities to ensure the required project/operational objectives are met and implement corrective actions where necessaryOverview the management and administration of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure works are executed to the satisfaction of the client and in accordance with agreed specifications, terms, conditions and budgetMonitor progress and forecasts and compile monthly reports detailing cost, time,



safety and environmental aspects.Manage the performance of all reporting staff including establishment of clear responsibilities and authorities in accordance with ConnectSydney performance review procedures.About You:Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience in similar role.Demonstrated understanding of planning scheduling functions.Experience in the delivery of concrete and/or asphalt projects.Familiar with commercial, contractual and financial aspects of projects.Good command of MS Project and/or similar software.Understand the schedule sequencing and logical linkages between activities.Implementation of earned value analysis.Familiar with all activities involved in setting up project teams and site establishment relating to multidiscipline projects.Ability to work within a team.About Us:ConnectSydney is an equal opportunity employer who believes diversity of thought, background and experience strengths relationships and benefits our people, clients, and communities.
