As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, this fast-paced site operates a continuous production environment.
In this busy site that handles over 500,000 tonnes of steel per year, you will have direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products.In this business-critical role, you will be supporting the production team by ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standard to meet our objectives for safety, quality, and reliability.
You will be providing hands‐on maintenance services to our production teams in a continuousmanufacturing environment, so we can continue to make and deliver our world‐class product to our valued customers.What's in it for you?

With your proven understanding of industrial mechanical systems, you will:be the first point of contact for equipment issues and maintenancecontribute to the mechanical operation of the site, and formulate the best diagnoses for continued operational efficiencyregularly inspect the equipment and conduct critical fault-finding, ensuring quality of product is never compromisedcontribute and participate on key maintenance strategy projectsThe Acacia Ridge Service Centre operates 24×7.
The roster for this position is a rotating 12 hour shift, working 2 days,2 nightsand 4 days off.More About YouWith a background in a mechanical trade, you will have exceptional troubleshooting and problem‐solving ability.
You will also bring:mechanical fitter qualifications consisting of either a Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diplomatechnical skills relating to the repair and maintenance aspects of plant and equipment on sitestrong mechanical experience in key areas such as - pneumatics, hydraulics, fabricating,
