Closing date:11pm – Tuesday, 11 th August ****Band 6 - salary commencing at $***** per hour + 12% superannuation (commensurate with experience)Monthly RDO availableHybrid working arrangements availableThe OpportunityMoonee Valley City Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Advocacy and Grants Lead to play a key role in delivering Council's advocacy agenda and incoming grants program.
Reporting to the Manager Advocacy, Communications & Engagement, you will work across the organisation to identify and secure funding opportunities, support the development of high-quality grant applications, and help drive advocacy initiatives that advance Council's strategic priorities and community needs.This role combines strategic advocacy, government relations, policy analysis and grant development, requiring strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to navigate complex political environments.
Working closely with internal teams, government representatives, funding bodies and community stakeholders, you will contribute to attracting investment, influencing decision-makers and delivering positive outcomes for the Moonee Valley community.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate Council's incoming grants activities, including identifying, assessing and pursuing funding opportunities.Support business units to develop high-quality, competitive grant applications and funding submissions.Monitor political, legislative and policy developments across local, state and federal government.Contribute to the planning and delivery of Council's advocacy priorities and campaigns.Build and maintain productive relationships with government representatives, funding bodies,
