The opportunity
The role will commence on 1 October ****. You'll lead the delivery
of marketing, communications and events that support DHUD's
priorities. This is a hands-on role for someone who can set
direction, bring people with them and deliver quality outcomes at
pace.
You will:
Plan and deliver external communications and marketing
activity that strengthens the department's brand and supports
key targets.
Coordinate internal communications that keep staff informed
and engaged.
Build strong stakeholder relationships and manage suppliers
to deliver quality outcomes on time and on budget.
Coordinate and deliver departmental events, from planning
through to on-the-day execution.
Provide practical, forward-looking advice on marketing and
strategic communications, and identify opportunities to lift
impact.
About you
You're a strong all-rounder who can think strategically and execute
brilliantly. You write clearly, build trust quickly, and you're
comfortable advising senior leaders in a complex environment.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to
demonstrate:
the ability to develop and deliver engaging marketing and
communications activities that support organisational
priorities and connect with the right audiences.
robust writing and content development skills, with the
ability to tailor messages across different channels and
audiences.
a proven ability to build positive working relationships
and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across
government, industry and the community.
experience coordinating successful campaigns and events,
with strong planning skills and attention to detail.
sound judgement and confidence in providing communications
advice, including identifying opportunities, managing
sensitivities and supporting informed decision-making.
strong organisational skills, adaptability and initiative,
with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver
high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
What you need to know
You'll be required to obtain a National Police Check prior to
employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years. Please refer
to the role description for all special conditions.

Remuneration:
ASO6 – $ 105,747 min – $111,854 max plus superannuation.
