THE ROLEExperienced Business Services Manager to join a mid-tier, multi-office practice with over 100 staff. This is a key leadership role working closely with 1 Director, managing a capable team of 6 staff and servicing a diverse portfolio of quality SME clients.
The client base includes complex groups and larger entities, across a range of industries.
Key responsibilities include:Manage a portfolio of business services clients, overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements, tax returns, and other compliance obligationsProvide strategic tax advisory services, applying up-to-date knowledge of Australian tax legislation to identify opportunities and mitigate risk for clientsDelegate work effectively across the team, balancing workloads while maintaining quality and meeting deadlinesReview the work of junior and intermediate accountants, providing constructive feedback to ensure technical accuracy and compliance standardsLiaising with the ATO and other statutory authoritiesCoaching, mentoring and developing staff across multiple levels
YOUThis opportunity will suit a confident Manager who enjoys leading people while remaining technically hands-on.
You will bring:6+ years experience within business services accounting.



Demonstrated experience in a management is idealCA / CPA qualifiedComprehensive understanding of Australian tax legislationStrong tax advisory skillsDemonstrated ability to delegate and review workDemonstrated ability to train and mentor lower-level accountants encouraging development of skills, both technical and interpersonalConfidence in working with clients to propose advisory and 'other services' work to help clients meet their overall business objectives
