Provide a high level of technical expertise and leadership to the WA Workers Insurance business
About the role:
We are seeking a Technical Advisor to provide technical leadership, coaching, and specialist support across our Workers Compensation Claims teams.
As a subject matter expert, you will provide legislative guidance, support complex claim strategies, partner with external legal providers, and mentor Claims Advisors through coaching and technical support.
You will play a key role in delivering positive customer and business outcomes while promoting best practice and consistency across claims teams.
What you'll do:
Provide expert advice on legislation, procedures, and claim strategy
Manage complex Workers Compensation claims, providing strategic oversight and technical direction
Work proactively with external legal providers to progress claims efficiently and optimise outcomes
Coach and mentor Claims Advisors through technical guidance, capability development, and best-practice support
Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to improve claim outcomes, drive consistency, and strengthen technical capability across the business.
What you'll bring:
Demonstrated experience managing Workers Compensation claims, including exposure to complex or litigated matters
Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation and claims management practices
Experience providing technical guidance, coaching,



and influencing claim strategy and outcomes
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capability
Ability to balance technical expertise with mentoring and support for broader claims teams.
