We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead site-based delivery on remote WA projects. This is a role for someone who can take charge on site, build strong relationships, keep people aligned and make sure works are delivered safely, properly and to the required standard.
You will lead the site team, direct workforce and subcontractors, while working closely with Project Managers, clients, suppliers and internal teams to keep the project moving.
The role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the site-based project team, direct workforce and subcontractors
Managing daily site activities to ensure works are delivered safely,
on time and to the required quality standard
Maintaining positive and professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
Reviewing drawings, documentation and specifications to ensure works are completed correctly
Coordinating trades, materials, equipment and site resources
Promoting and maintaining a robust safety culture on site
Supporting implementation of McNally's HSEQ requirements, systems and procedures
Monitoring quality control and ensuring work is completed in line with project documentation and engineering drawings
Identifying risks, issues and delays early and working with the project team to resolve them
Supporting project reporting and communication between site and head office
Representing McNally's values and brand in all client and site interactions
About you
You are an experienced Site Manager who knows how to lead remote construction teams and keep projects moving in challenging site environments.
You are calm under pressure, practical in your decision-making and confident working with clients, subcontractors and project teams. You understand that strong site management is about safety, quality, communication, planning and follow-through.
You will bring:
5+ years' experience in site management or a similar construction leadership role
Experience in remote-area construction, mining accommodation villages,
modular construction or non-process infrastructure will be highly regarded
A trade background, construction qualification or relevant industry experience
Strong understanding of site HSEQ requirements and safe work practices
Experience managing subcontractors, direct labour and site resources
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation
Strong communication skills and the confidence to manage client and subcontractor relationships
A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
A proactive attitude and the ability to perform under pressure
