Job Description
The Trustee for The Wong & Li Family Trust This is an excellent chance for an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about food preparation, maintaining high kitchen standards, and working collaboratively within a professional team.
Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present a variety of fresh meals in accordance with approved recipes, menu requirements and customer orders.
Prepare ingredients including washing, cutting, marinating, seasoning and portioning food items.
Ensure food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard of quality, taste and portion control.
Assist with planning and organising daily food preparation to support efficient kitchen operations.
Support in developing and preparing menu items, daily specials and seasonal dishes.
Inspect ingredients and food supplies to ensure quality, freshness and compliance with food safety standards.
Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, storing and rotating food supplies.
Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.
Minimise food waste through effective stock control and proper food storage practices.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient and timely food service.
Support in coordinating kitchen workflow during busy service periods to maintain service standards.
Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff where required.
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
Contribute to maintaining high customer satisfaction through consistent food quality and effective kitchen operations.
Skills & Experience Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent qualification).
At least one year of experience in a commercial kitchen.
Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and commercial kitchen operations.
Understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
