About us
Western Plains Correctional Centre is a modern, maximum-security prison focussed on rehabilitation, housing up to **** people in custody. Western Plains features multi-purpose infrastructure which is adaptable to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria and the people in our care.



Modern amenities include medical wards, a cultural centre, and vocational training facilities.
Western Plains provides a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to individualised care which motivates, encourages and promotes reintegration into the community. Western Plains has advanced technology which improves security, streamlines operations and enhances connections for the people in our care.
Western Plains operates with three primary service teams: Workforce and Prison Services, Communities, and Safety and Operational Service which collaboratively deliver comprehensive services for people in our care, safety management, and corporate services. Through its innovative design and service model, Western Plains aims to create a thriving environment conducive to safety and positive behavioural change.
What you will do
As team leader, workforce engagement, you will lead a team that supports staff across Western Plains Correctional Centre.
You will provide
timely
support, improve daily services and help your team deliver
reliable
outcomes.
You will:
lead
a team that responds to staff enquiries and supports daily workforce services
coordinate
shift coverage, refer
complex
enquiries and help keep prison operations running smoothly
maintain
accurate
records and support reporting and data analysis
improve
work processes and help deliver a
responsive
phone and email information service
support
communication, staff development and
effective
team administration.
About you




A tertiary qualification is desirable but not required.
You should also have:
strong
experience providing corporate support services, ideally in government or a large organisation
proven
skills using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
sound
problem-solving skills with the ability to improve services and adapt to change
clear
communication skills with the ability to lead a team and build
positive
working relationships.
