Nutworks is a proud supplier of macadamia nut in shell, kernel, flavoured nut products and macadamia confectionary. The central purpose-built facility is located in Yandina on Queensland's Sunshine Coast where we process approximately 10% of the Australian macadamia crop. This crop is dried, sized, cracked and sorted for supply to domestic and international buyers as Nutworks branded bulk, and retail packaged goods.
We are excited to announce that a casual Factory Maintenance Fitter position at Nutworks Yandina has become available for Day Shift between 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
Position Overview & Purpose:
Key Responsibilities:
Preventative maintenance and servicing of all production equipment
Fault finding
Responsible for all tools and ensure no tools are left in production areas
Repair of production machinery parts, replacement of production machinery parts
Maintenance of all machinery
Complete preventative maintenance and reactive worksheets from Maintenance Scheduling Program
Stock control of all relevant consumables
Planning and implementation of various maintenance projects
General maintenance of unused machines
In consultation with Production staff, identify equipment and areas requiring attention.
Constant review of production line to ensure optimal effectiveness
Provide coverage for annual and personal leave of other Maintenance members across all shifts.
Must be available for afternoon, evening shifts or call outs.
Standards Management:
Strict compliance with all Nutworks systems, standards, policies and procedures
Promoting safety and risk management initiatives
Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for; expected workplace behaviours, quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environment policies and general duty of care
Implement factory safety procedures
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards in accordance with OH&S; manuals
Comply with all food regulatory and BRC requirements




Comply with all HACCP requirements
Observe good manufacturing practice and comply with all GMP requirements
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES.
Working Rights in Australia
4 years relevant Fitter and Turner experience or equivalent
Fitter, Fitter and Turner or Fitter/Machinist Qualifications
Current drivers licence
Forklift licence is desirable
Food Manufacturing knowledge or relevant industry experience
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Minimum of four years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance workplace
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issues
Planning, organisation and problem solving skills
Strong technical aptitude

Have a strong work ethic
Be physically fit and healthy for work
Proven ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work under limited supervision and independently
Good communication skills and possess effective leadership qualities
Ability to develop and maintain supportive cross functional relationships
Understanding and practice of food hygiene and food handling concepts
Plan, prioritise and sequence work operations/ complete activities
Contribute to a group effort in order to plan and carry out work
Complete preventative maintenance requests as per schedule and delegation from Maintenance Manager
