About the role
PBM Air & Electrical is seeking an experienced
Air-conditioning HVAC Technician
to join our growing team in Winmalee, NSW.
This is a
full-time position
based in our Winmalee location, where you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional air conditioning and refrigeration services to our valued clients.
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
This role is central to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
Key responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients
Diagnose HVAC system faults and malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge
Perform routine maintenance work including filter changes, refrigerant top-ups, and system servicing
Conduct system inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Respond to emergency callouts and provide prompt fault rectification
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Communicate clearly with clients regarding work performed and system recommendations
Ensure all work meets relevant industry standards and legal requirements
Collaborate with team members to complete larger or complex projects
What we're looking for
Current Refrigeration and Air Conditioning license (or equivalent qualification) recognised in New South Wales
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an HVAC technician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical components
Proficiency with diagnostic and testing equipment, including manifold gauges and multimeters
Competency in reading and interpreting technical documentation and system schematics




Valid driver's licence and reliable transport for travel to client sites
Physical ability to perform manual tasks, work at heights, and lift heavy equipment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Solid communication and customer service abilities
A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to health and safety protocols
Certificate III or IV in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is highly desirable
Current WWCC working with children's check and NCCHC national coordinated criminal history check
