About us
The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision-making.
As the principal economic and financial advisor, we provide leadership and strategic advice and influence to support the delivery of services and outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia.
What we do is integral to the Government's decision-making processes about where and how to spend taxpayer's money to ensure Western Australians have access to quality services on a financially sustainable basis.
We lead procurement and leverage our buying power to secure products and services for government, achieving value for money for WA.
We collect revenue to fund government services and administer payment of grants and subsidies to the WA community.
The work area
The
Procurement Policy and Strategy
business unit is responsible for a whole of government approach to procurement policy including administration of the Procurement Act, Delivering Community Services in Partnership Policy, procurement systems and intelligence as well as whole of government common use arrangements and assurance functions that efficiently meet the business needs of government agencies, manage risks and deliver value for money.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join us and make a difference for Western Australia.
In this role, you will:
provide high-level leadership across government and the community services sector to support commissioning and procurement practices.
consult with community sector organisations and government agencies whilst maintaining positive and effective stakeholder relationships
provide specialist policy and procurement advice ensuring good practice on the development of complex funding and contracting arrangements.
We currently have
one (1) fixed term full-time position




available for filling for up to 12 months within the Community Services Procurement Policy team with the possibility of extension and/or permanency in the future.
