Job Description
Wood Australia is seeking Expression of Interest for experienced Mechanical Fitters to work in the Surat Basin of western Queensland.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will apply your expertise in all facets of general and specialist mechanical fitting ensuring that all work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standards.
You will become part of a team focused on delivering solutions for our client's assets in western Queensland and create excellence delivery across assigned mechanical scope of works
The role
Casual and Permanent: DIDO, FIFO or localRoster: ********-hour shifts, days/week normal timeCompetitive Base Rate with casual loading on all hours + Overtime + Site Allowance.Other Perks: Accommodation is provided to distant workers
Responsibilities
About you
Site Proficient: Experienced in oil and gas, and the industrial sectorTeam Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skillsWorkplace Safety: Committed to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleaguesExperience: Fit-up of piping, mechanical and structural in workshop and on-site environmentCompleting and understanding workpacks including quality control and recordingExtensive site experience with pipe fitting, mechanical installation and alignmentTrade certificate: Mechanical Trade Certificate
Qualifications
Mechanical trade certificateConfined space entry - within 3 years from date of issueWorking safely at heights - within 3 years from date of issueConstruction white cardDriver's license




The successful candidate will undergo a Wood medical and will be required to provide certificates and WAH, CS tickets before undergoing the medical.
