The Role Description
Millstream Paediatrics
highly values
speech pathology services.
Complete multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental assessments for children and adolescents including speech and language, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and specific learning disorder (SLD) in literacy.
There is also an option to provide clinic-based speech therapy services if desired.
Training in assessment can be provided to the right applicant with strong clinical skills but no assessment experience.
What Are We Looking For
A Speech Pathologist who is family-centred to assess within a multidisciplinary team with a psychologist and/or paediatrician for assessments.
Assessments include autism spectrum disorder assessment using the ADOS-2, speech and language assessments, clinical interviewing, differential diagnoses, comprehensive report writing and providing thorough feedback sessions with families.
You are available for intermittent team-based state-wide travel (DIDO/FIFO), applying your cultural awareness and sensitive practice with diverse populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
This is team travel, so you are not alone.

The team is passionate about providing services to the local Perth community and to the wider region.
The team is highly team-oriented and prides itself on quality and ethical practices.
You will be given PD and work shadowing opportunities right from the start to set the tone for providing quality services.
Very well equipped with resources and technology.
There is flexibility around school pickup/dropoff and some hybrid arrangements; reasonable workflow, training & supervision, and full admin support.
Requirements:
You are a qualified and practising speech pathologist with eligibility for SPA, with no working restrictions.
