About the role
Our Hotel Receptionist role is a crucial part of the guest experience at Deco Hotel, located in Braddon, ACT.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm, friendly and efficient service from arrival to departure.
This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to develop your customer service skills and be part of a dynamic hospitality team.
This role requires availability to work evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
What you'll be doing
Greeting guests with a friendly and professional manner upon arrival and departure
Efficiently checking guests in and out, processing payments and handling inquiries
Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any guest concerns
Assisting with making reservations, answering phone calls, and responding to email inquiries
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Working collaboratively with the hotel team to ensure a seamless guest experience
Adhering to all hotel policies and procedures
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a customer service or front office role, preferably in the hospitality industry




Minimum of 1 year of customer service or front office experience is required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a warm and friendly service
Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Proficient in using hotel management software and technology
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to the success of the hotel
Valid Australian work rights are required for this position
