About the Role
The Compliance Risks Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and refining policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance, ensuring the health and safety of workers, safeguarding our clients, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Through conducting regular audits and risk assessments, potential threats to the organisation are identified and analysed, and strategies to mitigate them are effectively implemented.
Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the Compliance Risks Officer provides guidance on best practices, fosters integrity and accountability, and ensures alignment with industry standards and legislative obligations.
The Compliance Risks Officer is responsible for reporting to regulatory bodies such as the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and the ACT Office of the Senior Practitioner.
Additionally, this role ensures all incidents are reported with high quality, documented within the incidents register and meeting information management requirements and conventions, performs root-cause analyses, and recommends corrective actions to prevent recurrence and reduce exposure to risks.
Through balancing quality with operational efficiency, the organisations reputation is safeguarded while optimising performance outcomes.
This role is offered on an initial 12‐month fixed‐term basis

with the possibility of extension or transition to an ongoing position.
About you:
The successful applicant will have an intuitive approach and value the importance of strong policies and procedures as components of organisational success.
Selection Criteria:
Experience in monitoring, managing, and achieving compliance outcomes
Sound compliance, analytical, critical thinking and research skills, including ability to rapidly acquire working knowledge of relevant policy framework
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in delivering high workforce outputs
Ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, solve problems and meet deadlines
A adaptable and adaptable work style and ability to work proactively and autonomously
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under general direction with initiative, both as part of a team and independently
Working knowledge of NDIS and legislation relevant to the sector
Desirable, but not required:
Experience in Work Health and Safety governance
