About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Officer Mobile Assets to provide high level analytical, technical and business support and advice to drive best practice mobile asset management across National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).
Co-ordinating the end-to-end procurement of heavy vehicles and plant in compliance with NSW Treasury policy and guidelines.
Is the subject matter expert for mobile heavy asset selection including delivering technical advice on mobile assets specifications including any required attachments or accessories.
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations relating to mobile assets, including Heavy Vehicle National Law and Safe Work Practices.
Developing and maintaining effective partnerships with diverse and dispersed internal and external stakeholders.
About you
You will bring your experience in heavy vehicle/asset management including program supervision, coordination and data management, along with the ability to liaise and co-ordinate with staff and contractors.
You will have knowledge and experience in day to day fleet management including maintenance review/authorisations, an understanding of financial reporting for capital projects, mechanical knowledge & SAP procurement experience would be advantageous.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated experience in asset management frameworks and systems including program supervision, coordination and data management




Demonstrated experience liaising with and coordinating staff or contractors undertaking asset maintenance and construction activities.
Knowledge of and experience in the application of construction codes, safe work practices and risk management in the construction and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure.
Demonstrated understanding of financial reporting requirements for capital projects as well as an understanding of risk management principles as they apply to maintenance and construction of infrastructure and assets.
Understanding of the legislation applying to protected area management, contract management, Workplace Health and Safety, construction standards and environmental planning.
A current Australian drivers licence.
