PERSOL is partnering with a global mining client to hire a Data Engineer to join its Systems team.
In this role, you will develop and enhance a suite of software applications and data platforms that support mine planning and other Technical Services functions.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to core development of the data platform
Design and build scalable, reusable dbt models and macros
Develop and maintain data pipelines using dbt-core in Snowflake
Refactor and optimize existing codebase for performance, scalability, and maintainability
Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices.
Collaborate with team members through code reviews and technical discussions
Troubleshoot data issues and optimize query performance in Snowflake
Required:
Strong proficiency in SQL, dbt (core), Snowflake, and Python.
1+ Years of experience.
Strong data modelling experience in Data Vault & Dimensional Modelling
Basic familiarity with version control (Git) and team-oriented development workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a highly fast-paced environment
