Join the Got It! team at Mount Druitt Hospital, part of a dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service focused on early intervention and community wellbeing.
Got It! is an innovative school-based program supporting children from Kindergarten to Year 2 experiencing emerging behavioural and emotional challenges.
You will work collaboratively with schools, families and community partners to help improve long term mental health and educational outcomes.

What you'll be doing
In this rewarding role, you will deliver early intervention mental health support to children, families and schools through assessment, education and evidence-based group programs.




You will work closely with stakeholders to strengthen behavioural support strategies and improve outcomes for young people.
• Build positive relationships with schools, families and community agencies
• Undertake screening, assessment and intervention for identified children
• Deliver evidence-based group programs for children and parents
• Support teachers and carers with behavioural management strategies
• Facilitate referrals and connections with relevant support services

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.
Registration: Full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Psychologist, or eligibility to be a
member of the AASW as a Social Worker.
(Registered Nurse: requires at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and approved post registration nursing qualifications relevant to the position).
Selection Criteria




High level of interpersonal skills and commitment to working closely with other members of a multi-disciplinary team.
Clinical skills and experience in the assessment and treatment of children and their families presenting with complex mental health needs, using evidence-based approaches.
Experience and skill in developing, implementing and evaluating programs including clinical groups.
Commitment to and skill in working collaboratively and systemically with many key stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to provide support and training to other professionals at individual and group levels.
Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia and willingness to use for work.
