Where you'll be working
The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Dialysis Unit is a newly established and expanding service providing outpatient haemodialysis to the local community.
The unit also has the capability to support rehabilitation dialysis for inpatients, helping patients transition safely back to community-based care.




Our renal team is community-driven and patient-focused, working collaboratively to provide accessible, evidence-based renal care while supporting patients' wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
What you'll be doing:
As a Registered Nurse within the Dialysis Unit, you will be responsible for delivering haemodialysis and hemodiafiltration treatments in an outpatient setting.
You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualised care plans, and provide ongoing monitoring throughout dialysis treatment.
Working within a multidisciplinary renal team, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of clinical practice and patient safety while supporting positive patient outcomes.
Key Requirements:
Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Previous haemodialysis experience.
Competency in haemodialysis treatment and vascular access cannulation.
Experience using Fresenius **** and **** dialysis machines.
Demonstrated ability in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and care planning.
Knowledge and experience in vascular access surveillance and monitoring techniques.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
