One of our federal Government clients is seeking to engage Senior Business Analyst for Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney
Please note Candidate must have Baseline Security clearance
Initial contract duration-12 MonthsExtension -24 MonthsLocation of work- Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, SydneyWorking arrangements-Hybrid
Key duties and responsibilities• Contribute across all phases of projects (e.g., Plan, Analyse, Design, Build and Test and Go-Live)• Partner with cross-functional technology and design teams to ensure consistent solution delivery.
• Work with business stakeholders in creating user stories, refine the product backlog and act as a liaison between business SMEs and the delivery team.
• Maintain the feature backlog in consultation with the product owners and business SMEs.
• Define the Product Backlog Items (PBIs) including acceptance criteria and facilitate approval from relevant business stakeholders.
• Support the delivery team in translating business needs and requirements into system specifications.
• Facilitate workshops and consultation sessions to ensure business objectives are met and the delivered features provide maximum business value.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure DevOps items are being managed to meet timeframes, timely development sprints are achieved and defects are resolved.
• Assist the product owners and SMEs with business verification and testing e.g. User Acceptance Testing.
• Work in a quick-paced agile operating environment adopting delivery in sprints.
• Create and update BA artefacts such as feature summary documentation, DevOps PBIs, process maps and training materials.
Essential criteria1.Extensive experience working in agile project teams involving technical resources, business stakeholders and delivery pressure, with attention to detail, ability to organise competing priorities, progress multiple deliverables in parallel and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.2.Extensive experience and skills in requirements and analysis for data platforms, data services layers, data integrations, and ideally in multilateral data sharing agreements.3.Elicit information and/or high level requirements from customers and stakeholders in order to collaborate desired outcomes with strong experience as an agile business analyst.4.Produce clear and concise BA artefacts and documentation under time pressure ensuring fitness for purpose and value addition in subsequent stages of the SDLC.Desirable criteria1.• Experience working within federal government.
• Strong experience working with requirements for data integration, data services layers, data platforms.
• Understanding of the Australian Government's Digital Service Standard and the principles behind human-centred design.
