The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the reliable, cost-effective and compliant sourcing of components, sub-assemblies, hardware and services to deliver product on-time in full to our customers.

The key focus areas of the role are
· Leading procurement operations day-to-day — raising POs, managing JIRA tickets and associated documentation
· Coordinating production planning with contract manufacturers to achieve on-time, on-budget, on-quality targets, (DIFOT)
· Negotiating pricing, payment terms, MOQs and long-term agreements with key vendors
· Monitoring lead times,



inventory levels and supply risk for critical components
· Managing freight, customs clearance and import compliance for internationally sourced goods
· Owning the Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) process and driving supplier quality outcomes
· Providing cash flow modelling and monthly production/procurement reporting
· Identifying and implementing cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives
· Supporting current supplier onboarding, contract reviews and renegotiations
· Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Finance and Business Development
· Travel may be required within Australia or globally.
DTI is looking specifically for
· Demonstrated results-driven procurement professional
· Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement within an electronic hardware manufacturing environment, ideally alongside engineering design and development teams
· Experience sourcing from global suppliers, particularly in Asia
· Strong commercial negotiation skills across scope, delivery, cost and quality
· Resilience and adaptability — you're comfortable managing supply risk under pressure in a dynamic global sourcing environment
· Strong analytical and process mapping skills, with a demonstrated track record of cost-saving initiatives
· A collaborative, cross-functional working style
· A relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement or Operations Management (Diploma/Degree level)
