About the Opportunity
Step into a pivotal role where your expertise directly protects patients, staff and our regional communities.
As the District Disaster Manager, you?
ll be the emergency management lead for MLHD: driving preparedness, strengthening response capability, and ensuring our services remain safe and resilient during any emergency.
In this role, you will:
Lead MLHD?
s Emergency Management framework across prevention, preparedness, response and recovery
Provide strategic guidance on policies, plans and major incident readiness
Support the HSFAC and Chief Executive during emergencies and complex incidents
Collaborate with the State HSFAC (SPRU) on shared priorities, statewide initiatives and training programs
Oversee education, simulation exercises and capability-building across the district
Maintain strong partnerships with emergency services, health providers and government agencies
Coordinate operational response and recovery during activations of emergency plans

About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong emergency/disaster management experience and knowledge
An in-depth understanding of NSW Health?
s PPRR principles
Exceptional ability to remain calm and confident making decisions in a fast-changing environment
Sound communication skills with the ability to coordinate across a variety of stakeholder groups
Flexibility to support after-hours or on-call requirements
