Position Purpose
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the manufacture of BAC's products to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, to quality standards, and within budget.
Leading a team of up to 60 permanent and temporary employees, the Manufacturing Manager will organise and monitor workflow, drive operational performance, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
The role requires a highly visible leader who is actively engaged on the shop floor, working closely with employees, supervisors, and support functions to achieve production objectives, maintain safety and quality standards, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes.
What you will bring to the BAC Team
Proven experience leading manufacturing teams and delivering operational results in a production environment
A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and fostering a positive team culture
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, develop, and engage employees at all levels
Experience in production planning, workflow management, and delivering against operational targets
Strong continuous improvement capabilities, including Lean manufacturing principles and process optimisation
Experience leading business improvement projects, driving change, and implementing sustainable operational improvements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to identify opportunities and improve performance
Ability to interpret technical drawings, fabrication instructions, and manufacturing documentation
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated behaviours that align with BAC's core values of Courage, Innovation, Responsibility, and Trust
Highly regarded:
Trade qualifications, leadership or management qualifications, experience with ISO quality systems and behavioural safety programs, and licences such as Forklift, Dogman, or Working at Heights.
