Engineering Trades Australia is currently seeking experienced Electricians with strong heavy industrial, telecommunications and testing experience for a brownfields construction project at the Alcoa Portland Aluminium Smelter an initial 6-week project, with the client holding a 3-year contract and potential for ongoing work.
Location: Portland, VIC
Project: Alcoa Portland Aluminium Smelter
Start Date: 10 August ****
Roster: 9-day fortnight | 8-hour days
Duration: 6-week project with potential for ongoing work
About the Role
Pulling and installing CAT 6 cabling
Installing media converters
Rewiring conveyors
Installing 6-foot screens




Electrical testing and fault finding
Telecoms installation and testing
Requirements
Current Victorian Electrical Licence
High Risk EWP (Desirable)
Working at heights (Desirable)Confined Space & Gas Test (desirable)
Telecommunications/data cabling experience
Previous brownfields construction experience
Must be clean shaven for face-fit respiratory protection
