Working to protect the state's environment and heritage.Shape the future of spatial data in NSW National ParksTemporaryfull-time (up to 30 June ****) opportunities availableOffice location upon negotiation across NSW, hybrid working supportedSalary relative to experience, and ranges from $116,981 to $129,492 + employer's contribution to superannuationThe National Parks & Wildlife Service (NPWS) are looking for Spatial Data Officers to join their Spatial Modernisation Project tasked with improving field tools, upgrading critical datasets, and building user-friendly web-based Geographic Information Systems (GIS) apps used by over 2,000 staff across the state.What you'll be part ofDeveloping and rolling out Esri field apps (Survey123, Field Maps, QuickCapture)Supporting data migration and modernisation of corporate datasetsAssisting in building and enhancing web GIS applicationsWorking with stakeholders to test, train and drive adoption of new toolsWhat we're looking forBring strong GIS experience across field apps, data or web GISHave a passion for spatial innovation and real-world problem solvingTake ownership, work independently and deliver practical outcomesCollaborate effectively across teams and stakeholdersCommunicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiencesThrive in a fast-paced, agile sprint-based environmentEssential requirementsAppropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to the discipline or equivalent experienceCurrent Australian drivers licence and willingness to fly in light aircraft.Ready to make an impact?
