The Dual Trade Engineer is responsible for maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment within a quick-paced production environment.
This position involves monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems to minimise downtime and optimise production performance.This is a technical, hands-on role, involving extensive collaboration with cross functional teams and plays a key role in supporting production teams through coaching and mentoring.In this role, you would be working night shift, 3-4 days per week, from 7:00pm – 7:10am.ResponsibilitiesMonitoring, operation,
fault finding and repair of manufacturing equipment in a quick-paced production environment.Installation, set up, relocation, modification and/or testing of new equipment.Troubleshoot and fix mechanical and electrical equipment issues.Coach and mentor the production team to increase their knowledge of fault identification and troubleshooting.Respond to breakdowns and prioritise accordingly in conjunction with shift supervisorPerform preventative maintenance and equipment auditsProactively work to reduce downtime, waste, and improve equipment reliabilitySupport and participate in maintenance and improvement projectsDemonstrated problem-solving experience within an industrial maintenance environmentEnsure all maintenance activities comply with safety, WHS policies, GMP requirements, and site procedures.Record keeping via our CMMS MEX system, specifically breakdowns and PM completions.A mechanical trade (fitter) certificate with electrical licence (Essential)Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing facility, ideally in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment.Understanding of manufacturing machinery,
reliability systems and engineering standards.Strong electrical aptitude, with excellent fault finding and troubleshooting abilities.Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with different departments and external contractors.Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in cleanroom and workshop environments.Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations in an industrial settingDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamPhysical capability to stand, climb, squat, kneel, and standing for extended periods and perform manual handling tasksPlease Note: Lipa Pharmaceuticals has a strong commitment to health and safety, with a pre-employment medical requiring successful completion, prior to an offer being made.
