This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful health outcomes for Aboriginal people in a remote community setting through culturally safe, evidence-based health promotion programs.About the roleThe Health Promotion Officer (HPO) is responsible for leading the Health Promotion Portfolio, improving the health of people in the Kintore community through a coordinated population health approach.Working closely with the multidisciplinary primary health care team, the HPO supports individuals, families, and young people ****** years) to build resilience and wellbeing using a strengths-based, community-driven model.Your portfolio will includeHealth Promotion ProgramSocial and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) ProgramSexual Health (BBV/STI) ProgramNutrition and School Nutrition ProgramsThese initiatives aim to promote healthier lifestyles, increase access to health services, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases in the community.What you will doPlan, deliver and evaluate culturally safe and community-led health promotion activities.Develop and implement health education programs targeting priority groups.Engage young people and families in preventative health initiatives.Strengthen community partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders to promote good nutrition, exercise, and overall wellbeing.Contribute to PHHS's quality improvement and governance programs.Support the transfer of health knowledge and skills to Aboriginal Health Workers and community members.About youTo succeed in this role, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in health promotion, public health, education,
