This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently and on time.
You'll oversee drivers, forklift operators and warehouse staff while supporting service delivery, safety, productivity and customer outcomes.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll lead by example, coach your team, coordinate daily operations and help drive a positive, high-performing workplace culture.What You'll DoLead and supervise drivers, forklift operators and warehouse staff to achieve operational targetsCoordinate daily pickup and delivery operations, dispatch and freight movementsOversee inbound and outbound freight, ensuring accuracy and efficiencyMonitor team performance and provide coaching, guidance and supportPromote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), WHS and company policiesConduct pre-start meetings and toolbox talksCoordinate fleet and equipment utilisation and report maintenance requirementsResolve operational issues and service disruptions in a timely mannerWork closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure excellent service deliveryMonitor freight scanning, tracking and operational complianceAssist with rostering,



workforce planning and labour allocationComplete operational reporting and support continuous improvement initiativesWhat You'll BringPrevious leadership or supervisory experience within transport, logistics or warehousingExperience leading frontline operational teams in a fast-paced environmentStrong knowledge of transport operations, freight handling and depot activitiesExcellent communication and people leadership skillsAbility to make sound decisions and solve problems under pressureStrong organisational and time management skillsExperience using transport management systems and operational reporting toolsCommitment to workplace safety and continuous improvementForklift Licence (desirable)Current Driver's LicenceWhy Join Team Global Express?
