You'll provide hands‐on clinical leadership across a busy outpatient environment, supporting your team to deliver safe, high-quality care to a diverse patient population.About the roleReporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in the day‐to‐day clinical and operational leadership of Outpatient Support Services, acting as a key resource for staff, patients, and the broader multidisciplinary team.ResponsibilitiesAssists the OSS Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent to provide timely, useful and relevant information to clinicians and managers, to assist quality clinical and management decisions and quality outcomesAssist with data extraction and analysis to assist with continuous quality improvement activitiesAssists and supports the OSS Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent in management, clinical and education activitiesPlan and coordinate services including those from other disciplinesParticipate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students,



new staff and staff with less experienceAssist the OSS Nurse Unit Manager and the OSS Nurse Manager to maintain a learning culture by being a resource person, encouraging reflection and professional development, and assisting others to maintain portfolios/records of learningAbout youRegistered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificateEffective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamRegistered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experienceDemonstrated competence in clinical practice in accordance with relevant standardsExperience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nursesSalary and benefitsSalary $107,487 - $114,917 p.a.
