About The Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of capital and operational projects across our manufacturing and processing operations.
This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
You will work closely with operations, maintenance and external stakeholders to deliver practical, protected and fit-for-purpose engineering solutions aligned to business objectives and site strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end to end delivery of capital and operational projects
Develop project scopes, cost estimates and project schedules
Coordinate internal teams, contractors and suppliers
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required
Ensure successful commissioning and handover to operations
Conduct risk assessments including HAZOP and SWMS
Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and food safety standards
Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost control
Support capital approval processes and business case development
Oversee contractor performance and on-site installation activities
Provide clear reporting and communication to stakeholders

About You
You are a practical and driven Project Engineer who enjoys working in a fast paced manufacturing environment and delivering real outcomes on site.
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or similar)
Experience delivering capital projects within manufacturing or food processing environments
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to develop clear scopes, specifications and technical documentation
Strong understanding of engineering principles across mechanical, electrical or process systems
Experience managing contractors, suppliers and site-based activities
Solid understanding of Australian standards, WHS and regulatory requirements
Strong commercial awareness including cost control and budget management
Ability to identify risks early and implement practical solutions
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across operations and technical teams
High attention to detail including documentation, drawings and technical verification
