Axiis Contracting is looking for a skilled and experienced footpath concreter who knows the trade and can consistently produce high-quality work.
This is
NOT
an entry-level position.
You must have proven hands-on experience constructing and finishing concrete footpaths, crossovers and pram ramps.
A current MR truck licence is highly regarded.
ABOUT AXIIS CONTRACTING

We deliver ongoing programs of work for local governments and other major clients throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working as part of an established footpath crew, you will construct concrete footpaths, crossovers, pram ramps and associated concrete works to local-government specifications.
Your duties will include:
Screeding, finishing and closing concrete to a consistently high standard
Producing broom, trowel and other specified finishes
Forming tool joints, lock joints, edges and transitions
Installing contraction and expansion-joint materials
Installing mesh reinforcement, dowels and steel
Constructing footpaths, crossovers, pram ramps and minor kerbing
Reading plans, levels and construction specifications
Assisting with concrete pour preparation, form up and general crew duties
Driving company trucks to worksites if appropriately licensed

ABOUT YOU
You must have:
Demonstrated experience in footpath or civil concreting
Solid screeding and finishing skills
Experience constructing footpaths, crossovers and pram ramps
A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
A current Construction White Card
A current Australian driver's licence
Reliable transport to our Maddington yard for 6:00 am starts
The physical fitness required for hands-on concreting work
A reliable attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew
A strong commitment to safety and company procedures
The ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
HIGHLY REGARDED
Current MR truck licence
Experience working to local-government specifications
Experience with hand-formed kerbing and concrete repairs
Experience working in active road reserves and public areas

General construction or labouring experience alone will not be sufficient.
