About the Role
This role leads the Collections and Resources Team at Nowra Library, ensuring the delivery of high-quality library services through effective leadership, operational management, and staff support.
The position oversees daily team functions, promotes efficient workflows, and ensures compliance with relevant legislation, Council policies, and risk management requirements.
This includes:
Lead, manage and support the Collection and Resources team to ensure current and potential client needs are met in a multi-branch, customer focused public library environment;
To co-ordinate collection management and selection across the library service, including partners of the South Coast Co-Operative.
Liaise with suppliers for procurement of library collections and resources.
Prioritise workloads and support continuous improvement by monitoring work practices of the Collection and Resources Team.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown.
The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade.
Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications as recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association or equivalent experience
Class C Driver's License
Working with Children Check
Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)

The ideal candidate will be customer focused, able to lead and develop a team, manage competing priorities,
and maintain efficient operational processes.
They will have a collaborative approach, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high quality library services while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check.
