Job Description
The Trustee for DHALIWAL FAMILY TRUST Mission Burgers is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy commercial kitchen committed to preparing high-quality food and delivering excellent customer service.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for: Preparing, seasoning and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with recipes and business standards.
Examining food ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
Regulating the temperature of grills, fryers, ovens and other cooking equipment.
Monitoring food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality.
Portioning, plating and presenting meals to a high standard.
Preparing sauces, dressings and accompaniments.
Storing food safely and maintaining appropriate stock rotation.
Assisting with estimating food requirements and stock control.
Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen in accordance with food safety legislation.
Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements.
Assisting with training junior kitchen staff where required.




Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
Essential Requirements Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (or equivalent qualification).
Minimum one year of relevant post-qualification experience in a commercial kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
