The Community Palliative Care Allied Health Team Leader (Level 4) provides advanced clinical expertise, skilled leadership, and operational management of the allied health workforce within the Division of Palliative Care.
This position operates with a high level of autonomy and independent professional judgement, providing clinical leadership and acting as a recognised expert resource in the management of complex palliative care needs.
Working collaboratively with the Community Palliative Care Allied Health Manager, the Team Leader facilitates allied health clinical business activities in the community, including direct patient care for complex patients, coordination of workload and resourcing, and operational management of the service including workforce management and performance, work health and safety management and supervision.
The role helps to drive service development, quality improvement, research, and workforce capability.
Through this leadership, the Team Leader ensures the multidisciplinary allied health team delivers evidence-based, patient- and family-centred care that delivers excellent clinical and operational outcomes.
