The Opportunity, Where You Come In:
Due to continued growth, we're seeking an Ecologist to join our Ecology team in our Leederville office.
This is a permanent full‐time opportunity offering the chance to work on diverse and interesting projects.
In this role, you will:
Work with the Ecological team to deliver ecological surveys across WA with a strong emphasis on botanical assessments and vegetation mapping;
Assist with design and plan of field programs, ensuring data quality, safety compliance and efficient use of resources;
Analyse ecological data and prepare high-quality technical reports, including impact assessments and management recommendations;
Provide input into Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), approvals documentation and regulatory submissions;
Manage and coordinate rehabilitation programs and offset strategies, including monitoring, reporting and compliance tracking;
Support project delivery across a diverse portfolio, including land development, infrastructure, mining, industrial and waste sectors;
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and regulators to achieve project outcomes and maintain strong stakeholder relationships;
Identify and pursue opportunities to improve project delivery, technical capability and client service within the Ecology team; and
Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, tenders and client engagement.
What we are looking for:




You'd be a excellent fit if you bring:
3+ years proven experience in ecological survey and assessments in WA
Strong background in conducting flora/fauna surveys/monitoring in WA, including Black Cockatoo habitat assessments (essential)
Strong technical report writing and data analysis skills
Experience in environmental approvals, rehabilitation and offsets in WA highly desirable
Willing and able to travel to various project sites
Knowledge of applicable WA and Commonwealth legislation and guidelines
4WD experience and current Senior First Aid certification (desirable)
Prior consultancy experience preferred
