A large federal government agency is moving its enterprise ERP off SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA (RISE), and is building out the technical team that will do it.
This is the compelling phase of the program — architecture, custom code remediation, data model design and integration — not steady-state support.
We are engaging Principal-level SAP specialists across six streams.
Not all streams are mandatory.

The six streams

1. SAP HANA Technical Specialist
• HANA data structures, columnar storage, in-memory processing
• HANA Studio, Web IDE, HANA DB administration
• Code pushdown — AMDP, CDS views
• Query optimisation and custom code remediation for S/4HANA
2. ABAP Developer — S/4HANA
• Refactoring ECC custom code for S/4HANA readiness, including removal of deprecated objects
• Building and optimising CDS views, AMDP classes and OData services
• ABAP on HANA versus classic ABAP
• SAP Fiori development — UI5, annotations, SAP Gateway
3. Integration Specialist
• SAP CPI (Cloud Integration) and BTP Integration Suite
• SuccessFactors APIs and connectors
• ALE / IDocs and RFC-based integrations
• OData and REST services, SAP API Business Hub
• Integration with third-party HR systems; ECC to S/4HANA data mapping
4. Data Migration Specialist
• Mapping ECC infotypes to S/4HANA data models using SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC / LTMOM)
• ECC to S/4HANA extraction, transformation and load strategies
• Data cleansing, validation and reconciliation across test cycles
• Changes to infotypes and master data structures under S/4HANA
• SAP Data Services / BODS (nice to have)
5. SAP Fiori & User Experience Specialist
• Fiori apps, catalogues,



tiles and roles
• Fiori launchpad configuration
• UI5 enhancements
6. SAP HANA & Basis Specialist
• S/4HANA system architecture concepts
• HANA sizing and performance tuning
• Transport management in S/4HANA
• Security roles and authorisations
• System conversion — SUM / DMO; pre-migration, technical migration and post-migration execution
What we are looking for across all streams
• Hands-on technical experience on an SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA migration (RISE) in government or another large, complex organisation
• Experience with the SAP Activate methodology
• Principal / EL2-equivalent depth
• Comfortable providing expert advice to architects, delivery leads and business stakeholders
• Track record of owning quality and resolving complex issues across development and production environments

The essentials
• Australian citizenship — required, and must have a Baseline security clearance as minimum
• Onsite in the capital city of your chosen state for the first six weeks; hybrid considered after that, provided you live within reasonable travel distance of the office
