Based in Perth or Kuala Lumpur, we are seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee the end-to-end procurement process across APAC.
Accountabilities
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for in-scope areasEnsure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and servicesDevelop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and complianceEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and quality of goods and servicesConduct supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as necessaryNegotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditionsIdentify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement functionMonitor and analyze procurement expenditures to ensure budget adherence and cost efficiencyDevelop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness and cost savingsWork closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business needsSupport project teams by ensuring timely procurement of materials and services for recent projects and initiativesFacilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to achieve common goalsIdentify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions and non-compliance with regulationsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in all procurement activitiesMaintain up to date knowledge of industry regulations, standards and best practicesCoach and mentor procurement team members and high-potential talent
Responsibilities
Manage ethics and risk mapping based on geographic footprint of operationsProvide procurement status reports (PSRs) to business line and project managers
Requirements
7-10+ years' experience in end-to-end supply chain, logistics, or operations (preferably multi-country across APAC region)Experience in a regulated, complex, or asset-intensive industryBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related fieldAPICS (CSCP/CPIM), CIPS, or Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred
