About us
The Unley Swimming Centre is a leading outdoor swimming facility located in Forestville.
Proudly owned and operated by the City of Unley for residents and the wider metropolitan area, the facility consists of an 8-lane heated 50m pool, junior pool, toddlers pool, shaded lawns, café and operates an extended season for 9 months of the year.
About the role
We are seeking a casual Swimming Instructor to deliver swimming lessons and water safety education to children and adults.
You will ensure participants develop skills appropriate to their level in a safe and supportive environment.
Applicants must be prepared to work in an environment with an expectation of high-level customer service satisfaction.
Availability Requirements
Availability to work a minimum of 2–3 shifts per week
Monday – Thursday (4pm – 6pm)
Must include at least one weekend shift
Essential Requirements
Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certification
Current Provide First Aid Certification
Current Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
Current Reporting Harm, Abuse and Neglect Certification
Availability to work a minimum of 2–3 shifts per week
Desirable Attributes / Qualifications




Ability to work across multiple areas within the centre
Current Pool Lifeguard Award certification
Additional certifications (e.g., Group Fitness, Aquarobics, Personal Training)
Food handling and safety certification
