What you'll be doing
To fulfil the Health team responsibilities to the Joint Referral Unit (JRU) Management Team comprising of Health, Police & DCJ in terms of the sourcing, requests and follow up of relevant health information required for assessment against the Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP) criteria.
To fulfil the functions of the JRU Health Team to ensure timeliness of the provision & distribution of information to health services across NSW occur and meet the requirements of interagency collaborative work.
To complete special tasks and projects as required by NSW Health or the JRU agency partners.
Demonstrated understanding of the relevant NSW Child Protection policies and clinical skills in relation to the assessment of the needs of children and families who have experienced sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect
Demonstrated understanding of the NSW Health Services roles and responsibilities for the provision of crisis, medical, therapeutic and treatment services.
Demonstrated understanding of NSW Health Specialist VAN Services including their management, service delivery and staffing issues.
Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse range of tasks, work under pressure and work within an interagency context.
Demonstrated effectiveness in undertaking consultation processes with a variety of agencies with good written and verbal communication skills
Appropriate tertiary qualifications and professional experience relevant to this position.
