About the role
We are seeking a Senior Psychologist to join the Paediatric Psychology & Social Work (PPSW) Program, a collaborative service supporting children aged 0–12 years and their families experiencing emotional, behavioural, developmental, or psychosocial challenges.
In this role you'll work closely with children, families and our multidisciplinary team to understand the challenges children are facing and provide assessment, formulation, and therapeutic interventions that support healthy development and wellbeing.
The PPSW program is designed around teamwork, innovation and community connection and this role goes beyond traditional clinic-based therapy.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Work with children and families experiencing through face-to-face sessions, telehealth and outreach clinics across the district
Provide psychosocial assessment, formulation and therapeutic interventions
Deliver psychoeducational and therapeutic group programs for children and parents that target concerns encompassing attachment, development and neurodiversity
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including paediatricians, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, dietitians,



social workers and child & family health nurses
Partner with schools, preschools and community organisations to support children through observation and feedback
Participation in developmental clinics and emerging programs
Opportunities to contribute to service planning, policy development, quality improvement and research projects
You'll also be part of a district-wide psychology network, supported by a District Psychology Advisor and peer supervision opportunities, ensuring solid professional connection and development.
