Nepean Hospital is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our busy and highly regarded Orthopaedic & Plastics Unit.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced surgical environment while delivering exceptional, patient-centred care.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive Nursing care to patients undergoing Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery procedures.




You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality clinical outcomes across all stages of the patient journey.
This is a role where you will deliver and coordinate patient care in accordance with best practice standards, conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans, provide pre- and post-operative care, perform advanced wound care and manage complex dressings, administer medications and monitor patient responses and recognise and respond to clinical deterioration.

What you will bring to the role
Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience working as a registered Nurse).
Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services
Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills
Demonstrated commitment to professional development
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
