Protech are currently seeking Field Officers to work from the
Burleigh Depot
with the Fire Ant Program through Biosecurity Queensland starting on the
5/8/2026
This is an ongoing position and will require thorough and effective surveillance and treatment of insect pests through Southern Queensland.
Benefits:

Great pay rates- $34 + per hour
9 day fortnight
Uniform, PPE and vehicle during work hours provided
Key Duties:
Visual surveillance and bait treatment for insects
Daily reporting tasks, data collection and record keeping
Driving Company vehicle
Mandatory Position Requirements:
Open car licence
MUST
have outdoor work experience in Landscaping, Agriculture, Arboriculture, Land Management and Conservation, Civil - Hiking or Bushwalking recreationally
Ability to work in a team workplace
Face to Face customer service experience
Must be physically fit as the role requires substantial walking through challenging terrain up to *******klm per day
Pass a drug and alcohol screen
Must be able to complete and pass a Police check
