About the role:
The City of Swan operates an extensive security system to protect its people, assets and community.
The Security Technician works on a permanent full-time basis and is responsible for completing the breakdown repair and preventative maintenance of security equipment in accordance with the security services maintenance programs across a large and diverse network.
This includes the completion of inspections, audits and testing.
Responsibilities include:
Completing all work in a safe and effective manner having regard to own safety, the public's safety and that of other workers, in line with relevant licence and legislative requirements;
Ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service with a willingness to improve the quality of life for our community;
Completing maintenance works in accordance with City Policy and Procedures;
Ensuring a high quality of individual work in accordance with industry standards, including recognising and correcting quality deviations and/or faults; and
Ensuring the proper maintenance and availability of the materials, tools and equipment used by team members.
The system products currently in use by the City are Genetec (CCTV), AXIS Cameras, the Integriti Access Control and Intrusion Detection system and a variety of mobile CCTV infrastructure.
The incumbent is required to be suitably licensed and experienced to ensure the operational integrity and continuity of service of the City's security systems.

About you:
The successful candidate will have the following:
Relevant Certificate or Diploma in Security, such as Certificate IV Security and Risk Management (desirable)
Current Security Installer and Security Consultants Licence issued by the WA Police (essential)
Open Cabling Registration (ACMA) – Structured, Co-axial and Optical Fibre Endorsements (essential)




Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card) (essential)
Satisfactory National Police Clearance
Current C Class Drivers Licence
Demonstrated experience in the use of Genetec (CCTV), AXIS Cameras and the Integriti Access Control and Intrusion Detection system in accordance with relevant legislation
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in relation to security system related issues

The salary for this position will be from $84,****** - $100,****** per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
