Talent & Development Coordinator
Are you a recruitment professional looking to make a real impact?

into this role where you'll manage the delivery of MHNSW's recruitment,
onboarding and induction programs.
You'll play a key role in building workforce
capability across the organisation while ensuring engaging and professional
experiences for candidates and hiring managers alike.
You'll also create high‐quality
documentation and reporting to drive recruitment processes, support
establishment changes, and enable the effective management of employment
contracts.

Clerk Grade 7/8.
Remuneration package includes salary ($113,574 - $125,720), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Ongoing full-time employment.
The
role will work across Sydney.
What we do
Museums of
History NSW brings together a portfolio of iconic museums, rich collections and
heritage sites, the nation's oldest archive collection, vital recordkeeping
services and expert staff.
We bring
history to life by sharing the stories of our places and collections.
Through
the State Archives Collection, we manage NSW's official documentary heritage,
supporting government transparency and the public's right to access
information.
These two
roles do not just sit side by side – they inform and enrich each other.

Museums of
History NSW is a state cultural institution, established under the Museums of
History NSW Act ****.
It is an agency of the NSW Department of Creative
Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport (DCITHS).
What you'll do with us:
This role you will manage the delivery of
MHNSW's recruitment function and onboarding and induction programs to achieve
optimisation of Museums of History NSW strategies and resources ensuring
compliance with required legislation.
You will provide advice to a range of stakeholders to inform and support
best practice and decision making in regard to recruitment process enabling the
timely delivery of high-quality recruitment outcomes.
Produce documents and
reports to progress recruitment processes and outcomes, establishment changes
and the management of employment contracts.

What you need to tell us - Targeted questions:
1. The responsibilities of the Talent & Development Coordinator role are primarily guided by the Government Sector Employment (GSE) Act, Rules and Regulations, which form the foundation of the advice provided to hiring managers and executives.
Please describe your experience working with the GSE framework, and provide an example of a situation where you offered recruitment advice based on these requirements.
2. The Talent & Development Coordinator is responsible for preparing and submitting briefing notes on recruitment processes and establishment changes for Executive approval.
These draw information from legislation and the MHNSW delegations.
Please outline your experience in preparing briefing notes or similar formal documentation for approval, including the type of information you were required to analyse and how you ensured accuracy and compliance.
Key knowledge and experience of
the role:
Experience in coordinating and advising on recruitment and learning and development activities for a diverse workforce.
Experience in providing support and advice, an understanding of Human Resources processes and procedures.
Experience administering recruitment system such as Cornerstone.
Experience in administration of an organisation establishment.
Experience writing and developing role descriptions and current certification in Mercer CED job evaluation.
Essential requirements of the
role:
Experience working in the NSW Government, with working knowledge Government Sector Employment Act (GSE) **** and Rules and Regulations and the ability to interpret and advise on its rules and regulations.




Willingness to work across and ability to travel to multiple work locations.
