Ward 8D at Royal North Shore Hospital offers a unique opportunity to develop an expansive surgical skill set.
8D is a 30 bed Surgical ward catering for the following specialties: Head & Neck/ENT; Gynae Oncology; Endocrine Surgery – adrenalectomies, breast surgery, complicated thyroids; General Surgery – melanoma surgery; Upper Gastro Intestinal Surgery; Colorectal surgery; Plastics; Opthalmology and Dental.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate; or current enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT*****) with evidence of completion of Block 1; or completion of HLT***** Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care).
Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
