About the Role
Sunny Homes ACT Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly organised Construction Project Manager to join our growing residential construction team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and delivering residential building projects across ACT and NSW, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
This role is suited to a construction professional with strong project management experience, sound knowledge of residential building processes, and the ability to manage contractors, suppliers, trades, consultants and clients throughout the full construction lifecycle.

Task & responsibilities
Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate residential construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Develop, implement and monitor project schedules, construction programs, timelines and milestones to ensure projects are delivered on time.
Coordinate labour resources, subcontractors, trades, materials, plant and equipment required for construction projects.
Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, building certifiers, suppliers, subcontractors, clients and relevant authorities throughout the construction process.
Review building plans, project specifications, contracts, construction drawings and site requirements to support effective project delivery.
Prepare, review and coordinate tenders,



subcontractor quotes, procurement schedules and project cost estimates.
Monitor project budgets, costs, variations and progress claims to ensure projects remain commercially viable and within approved budgets.
Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure quality work, timely delivery and cost-effective project outcomes.
Oversee site activities and monitor the standard, progress and performance of contractors and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with building legislation, approved plans, construction standards, WHS requirements, quality standards and company procedures.
Arrange and coordinate submission of plans, permits, inspections and approvals with relevant local authorities and regulatory bodies.
Identify construction risks, delays, defects, cost overruns and project issues, and implement corrective actions where required.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, site records, contractor records, schedules, variations and handover documentation.
Provide regular project updates to management and clients regarding progress, risks, costs, timelines and completion status.
Ensure projects are delivered to Sunny Homes' quality standards and client expectations.
Qualification & experience
Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, Building Science, Building Technology or a closely related field.




Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in residential construction project management or building project delivery.
Strong knowledge of residential building processes, construction methodology, project scheduling and site coordination.
Experience managing subcontractors, trades, suppliers, consultants and construction teams.
Strong understanding of building codes, WHS requirements, quality standards and local authority approval processes.
Ability to manage project budgets, timelines, variations, procurement and reporting.
Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Current driver's licence preferred.
