Leon Baker Jewellers is seeking a
Casual Retail Sales Assistant
to join our team in Geraldton, WA.
This is a
casual position
that offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment.
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of our jewellery store.
You will be the face of Leon Baker Jewellers, creating memorable shopping experiences and driving sales through product knowledge and genuine customer engagement.
Key responsibilities
Greeting customers warmly and providing personalised assistance to help them find the perfect jewellery pieces
Developing and demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge to answer customer enquiries confidently
Processing sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments securely
Maintaining store displays and ensuring jewellery merchandise is presented attractively and organised effectively
Assisting with stock management, including receiving, checking and displaying new inventory
Providing jewellery care advice and information to customers to enhance their purchasing experience
Supporting promotional activities and implementing marketing initiatives within the store
Maintaining a clean, protected and welcoming store environment at all times
Building positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty
Collaborating with team members to achieve store targets and deliver exceptional service
What we're looking for
Previous retail or customer service experience, ideally in a jewellery, luxury goods or similar retail environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle valuable items with care and responsibility
Reliability and flexibility to work casual shifts as required,



including weekends and peak trading periods
Numeracy skills and confidence handling cash and operating electronic point-of-sale systems
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail setting
A professional appearance and demeanour appropriate for a jewellery retail environment
Enthusiasm for learning about jewellery products and building product knowledge
Honesty, integrity and trustworthiness when handling valuable merchandise
Relevant retail qualifications or training would be advantageous, though not essential
