About the role
Luxe Custom Cabinetry is seeking a skilled and experienced
Cabinetmaker/Joiner
or 3-4 Yr apprentice to join our team in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
This is a
full-time position
based at our workshop facility.
As a Cabinetmaker/Joiner, you will be responsible for designing, crafting, and installing bespoke cabinetry and joinery solutions for residential and commercial clients.
This role is central to our business operations and requires precision, creativity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality craftsmanship that defines our brand.
What you'll be doing
-Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce furniture and fittings to exact measurements
-Working in a small team or individually to achieve an exceptional quality finish
-Operate and maintain a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
-Select appropriate timbers and materials based on project requirements and aesthetic considerations
-Fabricate cabinet components including frames, doors, drawers and shelving with precision and attention to detail
-Assemble cabinetry components and conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets our high standards
-Install completed cabinetry at client sites, ensuring proper fitting and finishing
-Maintain workshop cleanliness and organization, and manage inventory of materials and tools
-Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
What we're looking for
-Preferably a qualified tradesman with hands-on experience in cabinetmaking, joinery, or related carpentry work.
-Will consider 3-4 yr apprentice with a keen eye for detail wanting to excel in their career and grow within a small company.
-Proficiency in operating cabinetmaking/joinery machinery including CNC machine, panel saw, edgebander, planers and routers/trimmers
-Excellent technical drawing interpretation and measurement accuracy
-Ability to work from plans and specifications with meticulous attention to detail
-Competency in hand tool use and traditional cabinetmaker/joinery techniques
-Current understanding of workplace health and safety requirements relevant to cabinetmaking/joinery
-Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to adapt to custom design challenges
-Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
-A genuine passion for quality craftsmanship and custom design
