$83,898 – $118,316pa.

South Coast Correctional Centre is a large correctional centre in South Nowra, which holds minimum, medium, and maximum security male inmates.
Our team has a varied role and provides a range of psychological services, related to management of inmate mental health, risk to self/others, challenging behaviour, and cognitive impairment.
We also provide risk assessment and consultation for sex and violent offenders in our centre.
In this role, you will support behaviour change and rehabilitation while developing sound skills in psychological assessment, formulation, intervention, and consultation.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of presentations in a multi-disciplinary setting, while being part of a supportive and experienced psychology team.

What you'll do
As a Psychologist, you will:
Deliver psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to support clinical outcomes, behaviour change, and reduce risk of reoffending
Provide evidence-based individual interventions.
Provide expert consultation to staff regarding mental health, behaviour management, and risk management
Develop and apply clinical judgement in complex and dynamic situations
Contribute to case planning and behaviour management strategies
Prepare formal reports, advice, and consultations that inform decisions for statutory bodies.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Attending professional development and networking opportunities including the annual CSNSW Psychology Conference
What we're looking for
Registration (or provisional registration) with the Psychology Board of Australia
Interest in working with complex clinical presentations and behaviour change




Strong ethical practice and clinical judgement
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
NSW Driver Licence
